I am writing to let you all know that after today’s show Maureen Flemming will be retiring from her position of Front of House Manager. She will be handing the reins to Johanna Rogers and Ray Galloway.
Maureen has worked tirelessly for the Bridgetown Repertory Club over many years. In fact, she has worked, and continues to work, tirelessly for many clubs and committees, and on many projects in our community.
Maureen started as a volunteer at the club soon after she came to town in the 90s. She is a club trustee and honorary life member. For the last ten years she has been Front of House Manager: organising volunteers, stocking the kiosk, cleaning, decorating and setting up the foyer, serving up scones and greeting audiences for every performance of every show that has been presented over that time. Considering the club puts on four shows a year of its own, not to mention youth shows, music nights and other visiting shows, that equates to being present at, and being the face of, a lot of shows!!
Nothing has ever been too hard for Maureen; she gives of herself and her time generously. She truly cares for others, offering help and assistance whenever she can. I am sure that those of you who have worked alongside Maureen over the years can attest to her selfless, kind, and gentle nature. So, it is with sadness that we bid her farewell from official duties within the club, however, we look forward to seeing her have a chance to sit back and enjoy the shows.
Thank you, Maureen. Thank you, thank you.
We appreciate all that you have done for Bridgetown Repertory Club and all that you do for our community.
